Will Derek Ramsay become the next Kapuso hunk?

The Philippine showbiz industry is very colorful and this interesting world in the limelight would not be complete without the controversial transfer of celebrities from their home networks to the rival network which only goes between the two television network giants in the country, ABS-CBN and GMA 7.

Recently, the Filipino viewers got shookt after our very own Asia’s Song Bird Regine Velasquez signed a contract with ABS-CBN after being a Kapuso for more than a decade. She is now reunited with her fellow SOP singers Jaya, Janno Gibs, Lani Misalucha, and her husband Ogie Alcasid who are now all a certified Kapamilya.

Because of Regine’s surprising transfer of network, people could not help but turn the table to Kapamilya actor and hunk Derek Ramsey who has been rumored to transfer in the rival network where Regine came from.

Despite the deafening silence of Derek’s camp, a reliable source by noted that Derek and GMA 7 are still in the process of negotiation regarding his offers and expected transfer in the Kapuso network.

The source said that Derek’s camp and GMA 7 management is set to have a meeting next week making the hunk actors fans more excited and wait for the final verdict.

In case the meeting turns out well and Derek will finally go back to his mother station, PEP suggests that netizens could start claiming and posting #DerekReturnstoGMA just like what ABS-CBN did when Asia’s Song Bird signed a contract a few days ago where they tag all photos and news stories with a hashtag #WelcomeHomeKapamilyaRegine and #SongbirdReturnstoABSCBN.

It could be recalled that Derek’s started making a name in the showbiz industry when he was given a chance to be a Dabarkads host in the longest-running noontime show in GMA 7 which is Eat Bulaga.

Prior to that hosting break, Derek was seen as MTV VJ back in 2000, he was also known for being a commercial model and eventually an actor when he joined ABS-CBN in 2005.

His career blossomed in ABS-CBN leading him to land in several supporting teleserye roles in Super Inggo, Maalaala Mo Kaya, Maging Sino Ka Man, and Magkaribal.
